Our Activities

The American League of Charitable Organizations is active in monitoring and addressing legislative initiatives that affect the non-profit sector. Our focus is on legislation that either limits or harms a charity's ability to perform any and all fundraising activities online and offline equally, as well as create awareness to eliminate fraudulent, discriminatory, and abusive practices engaged by regulators through education and accountability.

Awareness

Many charities and non-profits are just not aware of the laws, rules, and regulations that effect them until it is too late. We aim to change that.

Education

We continuously strive to educate the charitable and non-profit community about regulatory compliance and the best solutions available to them.

Accountability

Regulators must be held accountable for any discriminatory, or lack of regulatory enforcement, as well as disinformation and overreach.

About us

The American League of Charitable Organizations was formed after over a decade of dealing with a regulatory environment that has failed to keep up with advances in technology, only to see charities and non-profits victimized, defrauded, and abused by regulators that orchestrate obstacles to cover-up their lack of technological understanding, as well as their unwillingness to adapt to modern times.

"Our mission is to end the rampant regulatory abuse, discrimination, disinformation, invalid regulations, selective enforcement and prosecution, overreach and intimidation tactics engaged by regulators and their agencies against charitable and non-profit organizations, as well as the for-profit organizations that provide assistance, solutions, products, and services to the non-profit sector."

Operating and Managing Online Solicitation of Funds

June 1, 2014 by Raffle America

Many states have laws regulating the solicitation of funds for charitable purposes. These statutes generally require organizations to register with a state agency before soliciting the state's residents for contributions. State laws may impose additional requirements on fundraising activities involving paid solicitors. Additional solicitation requirements may also exist at county and municipal levels.

Operating and Managing Online Raffle Ticket Sales

June 1, 2014 by Raffle America

Certain charitable fundraising activities, such as raffles, fall under the category of "Charitable Gaming" and are governed by applicable Federal, State, County, and Municipal Charitable Gaming Laws. Only charitable and non-profit organizations may operate and manage raffles, as well as other charitable gaming activities, in the United States where not explicitly prohibited by law. Perform your due diligence and learn the laws.
